Christmas is a time for giving:
And what better way to support a charity than a Christmas raffle fundraiser?
We put together a hamper full to the brim with Christmas gifts and goodies. From cheese boards to gingerbread houses, who could say no to such a persuasive prize.
With a little help from Pip:
Our awesome design team created the tickets for the raffle, with fantastic support from our Bournemouth community, we managed to sell 200 tickets (fundraising is one of Pip’s most impressive skills)!
With CUBE and friends all joining in on the festive fun, Bournemouth local Barista Brothers were a favourite to win.
Fundraising from Portugal:
I was away at the time of the raffle, but this didn’t stop the team getting me involved and video calling me on the ‘big tv’ in our main office space (looking a little extra Christmassy).
That way I could pick the winning ticket number and announce to everyone involved how much money we managed to raise for the Samaritans!
And the winner is.... (cue countdown music):
A very, very excited Puff.
We’re not quite sure if Christmas spirit or the promise of champers was the cause, but check out her priceless reaction below (you may want to turn your headphones down).
With our CEO Duncan Cook offering to match the amount we raised through ticket sales it’s fair to say that the ninth day of CUBEMAS was one of our most successful…
We managed to raise £400!
‘Samaritans volunteers set to listen for one hundred thousand hours this Christmas.‘
One of the many headlines that makes us so passionate about the charities cause, you can never overestimate the impact that listening to people actually has.
So that rounds off the ninth day of CUBEMAS.
