We’re looking for an extraordinary numbers person who can unlock the next level of potential for 3 Sided Cube on our journey to change millions of lives with world-saving technology. This is a role for someone who has either previously led the finance side of a growing business before, or who is looking to take that next step up. Salary: £40-50k+ (depending on experience)

Contract: Full time/permanent (would consider 4 days a week)

Location: Bournemouth/Remote

Leading finance for Cube - Let's talk about the day job

Our Financial Controller will play a key role in helping us grow and have more impact with our projects and team. It is a role that will work closely with the Directors in the management team and Board.

You will be:

  • Providing strategic overview, analysis and recommendations on financial activity
  • Pro-actively looking to optimise income, spend and processes
  • Managing day to day finances and related processes (such as invoicing, purchases)
  • Undertaking monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
  • Overseeing all banking activities and payments
  • Managing legal and contractual matters (with suppliers and clients)

The stuff you're already doing

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA), currently in the process of qualifying or has demonstrable experience in previous roles
  • Understanding and experience in business finances and related processes for an SME, including:
    • Bookkeeping, invoicing and purchasing
    • Setting, reporting on, and managing budgets
    • Reconciliation of bank feeds and fixed assets
    • Overseeing Payroll
    • Journals/accruals
    • Managing inter-company transactions
    • VAT returns
    • Cash-flow management
    • Year End Accounts
    • R and D claims
  • Ability to analyse a profit and loss and Balance Sheets and make recommendations to drive growth 
  • Experience in reporting on financial performance to Directors
  • Experienced in working with foreign currencies
  • Able to review and secure relevant insurances for the business
  • A thorough understanding of the requirements around audited accounts
