We build mobile apps that have millions of users all over the world, and we need an incredibly talented Tester to ensure these life-saving apps are working perfectly across devices and operating systems.

At Cube, the job of ensuring our projects and support cases are thoroughly tested before we ship them is super important. You are probably a detail-freak, obsessive about quality and are at your happiest when you’re making sure that functionality meets acceptance criteria and passes test scripts. Tick, tick, BOOM.

Salary: £20,000 – £23,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Bournemouth

The stuff you've already got under your belt

  • Experience of carrying out testing on web applications and mobile devices (usability, regression, integration and performance testing)
  • Experience of working with user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience of writing and maintaining test scripts
  • Ability to build a strong rapport and level of trust with colleagues and clients
  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

The things that put you above the rest

  • Experience working within a digital agency and/or technical environment
  • Working knowledge of testing methods used in software development
  • A strong technical understanding and knowledge of technical terminology

Let's talk about the day job

  • Assisting the Test Manager and Project Management team with writing effective acceptance criteria for user stories, where required
  • Testing functionality to ensure it meets agreed acceptance criteria
  • Testing functionality, against the relevant test scripts
  • Timely and thorough testing of front end UI and functionality across multiple devices and platforms (eg. native iOS and Android mobile apps / javascript and React applications / websites / progressive web apps)
  • Managing and maintaining test scripts
  • Ensuring new or changed features and functionality are documented in test scripts for all our projects
  • Triaging incoming issues and capturing sufficient details of bugs (steps to recreate), to provide the team with enough context to write code or fixes efficiently
  • Have a solid technical understanding of the applications that are being supported and be able to interface with developers on technical issues
  • Efficient and proactive updating of tickets and workflows on internal and client facing communications tools.
