We are thrilled to be partnering with UNHCR to develop an app and digital solutions for a communications platform for them. Read our blog to find out more!
Being a part of an organisation that places “good” at the heart of it is amazing. It bleeds through into every single aspect of Cube, and the mission of building technology to change millions of lives for the better is exactly what drew me in!
While I’m not *exactly* building the digital products that are making that significant impact, I get to do what I absolutely love and that is to build amazing and lasting relationships with our wonderful clients, who in turn go out and change the world with our products.
Which brings me here…we are delighted to announce the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, as a new client!
As part of a combined effort to enable better communications and develop new technology solutions that aid refugees and encourage more private-sector donations, the UNHCR has brought us in to help. We have been selected thanks to our history of developing award-winning ‘tech for good’ apps for clients including the American Red Cross and the World Resources Institute, and pioneering brands such as LUSH.
Work on the project will begin this month, as the UK prepares for National Refugee Week (14-20th June) and the United Nations; World Refugee Day (June 20th), which is observed each year to honour the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence.
Our MD, Rich Strachan, had this to say:
Developing ‘tech for good’ solutions for purpose-led organisations is why we exist, so we have taken great care to assemble the best team possible for this project. We see great potential for new technology to create innovative solutions in humanitarian crises. Our entire team is honoured to be involved and support the UNHCR in their crucial work around the world. We look forward to seeing the results of the project later this year!
The humanitarian crisis occurring across the globe is desperately crying out for a solution, so it is our honour to lend our attention and expertise towards helping the UNHCR do just that. As Rich has said, this type of work is “why we exist” and the potential for ‘tech for good’ in this sector is growing.
