We build tech for good.
While that seems straightforward enough, what it takes to actually build these life-changing and life-saving digital products is our team of ridiculously talented individuals. Or “Cubies” if you will. From Commercial and Operations, all the way to Production, every single person on our 84-person strong team is vital to the work we do, and that’s why we want to talk to YOU!
We are currently looking to fill a few roles and appreciate that job hunting can be a bit soul-destroying so we want to make this process as transparent and enjoyable as possible for you. Our recruitment process has five stages, from your application to an interview. In this blog, I will explain each stage of our process so you know exactly what to expect when applying to come aboard and change millions of lives for the better.
First things first, here’s an overview of the process from start to finish.
Your Application
We’ve all come across those vague LinkedIn job postings. You know the ones. That tells you *just* enough to lure you, but no actual information upfront so you need to spend your precious time applying for a role that isn’t right.
Yeah, we don’t do that!
We appreciate job descriptions can be quite lengthy and vague so at Cube we pinky promise to focus on the facts most relevant to you.
On all our job descriptions you’ll find:
The salary we’re offering (some roles have a range depending on experience)
The impact of the role
What you’ll be doing day to day
What skills & experience we’re looking for
Information about personal development & a list of benefits
The proof is in the pudding, check out our current vacancies here!
Shortlisting
Along with our fantastic People Team, we make sure to include a selection of the recruitment panel to review applications. Depending on the role, the panel will usually include one of our directors & a team lead.
This ensures your CV isn’t just languishing in someone’s inbox but will be seen by the relevant people when it comes in.
Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete a role-related task at this stage as well as another role-related task before the interview. This sounds scarier than it is, take a deep breath, you got this!
Regardless of whether you’ve been shortlisted or not, we always notify all applicants via email about the outcome of their application. If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to one of our phone screens! A Calendly link will be sent via email which allows you to select a date/time that works for you to chat about the role.
Phone Screen
This can feel intimidating, but don’t be scared, we love a good natter at 3 Sided Cube.
We want people to feel comfortable from the first moment they meet us, so we like to have an informal discussion about your application. Our phone screen isn’t just about the role either, it’s because we want to understand a bit more about you & what you’re searching for.
Don’t be surprised if we ask you a few questions about your passions outside of the workplace as well!
Role-related Task
At this stage, we’ll ask applicants to complete a task depending on the role they’ve applied for.
This is your opportunity to showcase your skills!
All the information you’ll need for this task will be provided to you either before your interview or as part of the selection process. But don’t worry, we’re always on hand if you have any questions around your task, so don’t hesitate to drop us an email!
The Interview
This is it, the final stage of our recruitment process! We like to think of an interview as more of a conversation because we all know pre-interview nerves can kick in from time to time.
We’ll start by introducing you to the interview panel, then we’ll ask if you can give us a bit of background about why you applied for the position. Depending on the role, we’ll either look to discuss the role-related task you completed, or we’ll listen to a presentation that you’ve prepared. After the interview, the panel will get together to discuss each applicant before making a decision.
The Outcome
You don’t need to worry about crickets after your interview, regardless of the outcome, you will hear from us. You’ll be contacted via email or phone regarding the outcome of your interview, and we’ll always do our best to provide as much feedback as possible.
So, now you know all there is to know about the process, why not check out our careers page & apply now!
