Or as I like to call us, Gen AI.
Artificial Intelligence has proven to be the great unifier – gone is the Boomer, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z divide (I may be a tad optimistic about the kumbaya potential of AI but here’s to hoping). Together, we have front-row seats to what is the next phase of the internet and it’s travelling at breakneck speed right before our eyes. From Blockchain, the Metaverse to new forms of artificial intelligence – lookin’ at you, Siri; the last decade has been somewhat quiet with technology that had any real usage case. Until now.
And we’re just getting started.
The innovation du jour is primed and poised to shatter the glass ceiling and change the trajectory of how mankind interacts with technology f o r e v e r. This is no Blockchain short-lived fever pitch. AI is in its infancy but it’s already on a knife’s edge to revolutionise industries, streamline processes, and solve complex problems through its ability to analyse unfathomable amounts of data, automate tasks, and continuously learn and adapt.
That kind of innovative potential is our love language at 3SC, so our ‘24 resolution was to adopt AI processes across the agency. But first, we needed to get a sense check of where our team of ridiculously talented Cubies were at with their AI exploration.
We recently conducted a survey with our 70+ brilliant Cubes about their own adoption journey and views, and the verdict is in – AI is not just a buzzword; it’s already here and supporting the team to streamline day-to-day tasks.
The AI Cubineers
The survey showed that two-thirds of our squad are already using GPTs, generative fills, and large-language models on the reg. A few even went so far as to say that it’s saved them two working days a WEEK!
In contrast, just over a third of the team had yet to experience using AI tools at all. The reasons varied from concerns about privacy and inherent bias to downright commitment to the day job and needing to carve out some time to start testing.
The Cubes that have found the time and space to test and play in this new AI sandbox have been very busy doing so…
AI labs: where ideas become impactful reality
Enter AI Labs, our open test environment, and the beating heart of our new digital strategy. As part of the commitment to our team and technology as a force for good, we have given everyone the space and freedom to play with AI to learn what opportunities it has to offer. What better way than a very real test of the impact (the good, the bad, and the ugly) of AI on our working lives? The hope is that by empowering Cubes to test in the wild, their imaginations will be sparked and even more new ideas, prototypes, and applications will arise.

W-agile to Agile
In 2023 we fully migrated from ‘W-agile’ to Agile ways of working and along with that shift we have devised three broad areas where we see AI impacting our future.
